Job Summary: Responsible for assisting the Controller and Chief Financial Officer in the daily accounting operations and activities of the Bank and department, as well as, managing and directing employees.
Education/Experience: A minimum of the following education/experience is required:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or finance OR
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience with supervisor experience
- CPA designation or CPA eligible preferred
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversees and manages daily/monthly/quarterly annual accounting activities.
- Oversees and manages the preparation and review of Bank and Holding Company regulatory reporting while maintaining an awareness of changes in regulations.
- Reviews reconciliations of DDA accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Prepares annual financial statements for consolidated company including Covenant Title, FirstBank Southwest, and FirstPerryton Bancorp.
- Prepares and monitors budgets.
- Analyzes asset, liability, and capital accounts.
- Contributes to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Manages internal controls and policies to ensure conformance and compliance with GAAP.
- Provides documentation and support to auditors and examiners.
- Cross trains in accounting department functions.
- Provides backup to integral accounting functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Technical Knowledge:
- General computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Strong understanding of GAAP

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes, supervises accounting personnel.
Amount of Travel: 40% - This is a hybrid position that is initially required to be in the Perryton office 2-3 days a week.

- Typing on a keyboard for long periods of time
