Our client in Boston, MA is seeking a compassionate, patient, and detail oriented individual to join their team as a housing search specialist. In this role you will work collaboratively to swiftly secure suitable housing options for both sheltered and unsheltered individuals in the Boston area.

- $23.50hr
Responsibilities:
- Engage with various stakeholders to expand housing opportunities and maintain a centralized database for efficient matching.
- Operate within a Housing First framework.
- Prioritize individual readiness for housing over traditional criteria.
- Adhere to guiding principles emphasizing empowerment, respect, and cultural competence, aiming to minimize re-traumatization.
- Involve guests in service design and evaluation.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience serving as an ongoing liaison between property managers and participants as well as between participants and program funders
- Experience delivering services to an unsheltered population often struggling with addiction and untreated or under-treated mental health concerns
- Customer service and sales experience
- Property development, property management, or real estate
- Strong computer and math skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel
- Ability to learn the MIS & HMIS programs
- Experience navigating systems of housing and care for homeless individuals
- Working knowledge of human services systems, housing subsidy programs and homeless referral networks
- Experience maintaining consistent communication channels, both verbal and written, between several parties
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $23.50 per hour

- Monday to Friday

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Homeless: 2 years (Preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- Boston, MA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
