Job Overview:
As a Facilities Assistant, will provide excellent customer service and full administrative support to the Facilities department.
Compensation: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, certifications, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform fact-finding and clarification discussions with associates, clients, and vendors to support business goals/objectives.
- Relocate boxes, light furniture, and office equipment.
- Track deliveries of supplies, maintenance items, fixtures, and records storage.
- Verify invoices to ensure appropriate and timely payment to vendors.
- Set up and tear down of conference room to support various meeting needs.
- Monitor and provide follow-up to all help desk requests.
- Maintain inventory of fixtures, equipment, and supplies.
- Provide back-up support to the front desk.
- Consistent regular and timely attendance.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrates organizational skills and ability to independently prioritize daily workload.
- Collaborative decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions or priority levels.
- Must be able to type 50 wpm, proficient in Outlook, and Word, and have a basic skill level in Excel.
Education and Experience:
- Valid State Driver's License and Mandated Vehicle Insurance
- Proficient in English. Bilingual helpful
- Two years of experience in customer service-related industry, preferably Facilities
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to crawl under furniture/desks to unplug equipment or troubleshoot for repairs.
- Must be able to climb and use a standard ladder.
- Must be able to use basic maintenance tools such as a screwdriver and basic hand tools.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard and utilizing basic maintenance tools.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
- Consistent and regular/timely attendance is required.
- Some exposure to dust, noise, paint fumes, and other commercial office construction and maintenance/repair situations.
- Standard attire ranges from business casual to polo shirts/slacks (no denim) and is dependent upon the activities scheduled.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8a – 5p with occasional OT
Travel Requirements: Some local travel with the use of a personal vehicle.
