Our beautiful community, Sun Village, in Surprise AZ is looking for a new upbeat and experienced housekeeper to join our team. This is a full time position, 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM daily.

Job Summary:

As the community housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining all buildings, facilities, and restrooms in a clean and orderly condition. You will be performing cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, cleaning showers / restrooms and removing rubbish.

Essential Duties & Job Responsibilities:

The job duties listed are typical examples of the work performed by positions in this job classification. Duties assigned include (but are not limited to):

• Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Always be always courteous and pleasant to residents
• Ability to prioritize and carry out all job functions on a prescribed daily and weekly schedule.
• Gather and empty trash receptacles daily.
• Service, clean, & supply restrooms daily.
• Cleaning floors by sweeping, mopping, & vacuuming per the prescribed schedule. This includes steam cleaning and shampooing carpets on an as-needed basis.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment along with polishing furniture fixtures.
• Assists in the setup and removal of decorations, tables, chairs, etc. to prepare for events such as board meetings and resident events.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Proficiencies:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• An ability to follow oral and written directions, keep accurate records, fill out logs and journals, and perform administrative operational functions.
• Must be available to work Saturday - Wednesday from 7PM - 11PM.
• Must be capable of being bonded.

Education & Experience:

One year of experience of janitorial or custodial work; High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Standing, sitting, walking for extended periods of time may be required.
• Ability to safely lift up to 25-35 lbs. following appropriate safety procedures.
• Ability to work on site, as we do not operate remotely.
