Job Summary:
The Patient Advocate is responsible for providing excellent patient care and service to our patients. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as a team. The Advocate will also be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
Essential Duties:
- Provides exceptional customer service to patients and their families in the emergency department by answering questions about procedures, answering calls, and directing inquiries.
- Assists in the coordination of admissions.
- Assists with admission decision-makers throughout the day as needed.
- Coordinates admission decisions with physicians, nursing staff, and surgical teams.
- Monitors patient vital signs and performs admission procedures as needed.
- Performs admission assessments on patients during the consultation and as needed.

- Performs post-admission evaluation (PACE) and discharge planning (DOP) tasks as assigned by the Clinical Director or Nurse Manager.
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
