Job Description

We are FIS. Our technology powers the world’s economy and our teams bring innovation to life. We champion diversity to deliver the best products and solutions for our colleagues, clients and communities. If you’re ready to start learning, growing and making an impact with a career in fintech, we’d like to know: Are you FIS?

About the team:

Join the FIS Platforms team as a Staff Designer to help design the future of banking experiences for millions of consumers. Our Platform vision is for developers to access all the world’s financial capabilities through low and no-code experiences. We operate like an incubated startup within FIS, with the full support of the company and a mandate to create a world-class embedded finance platform. This is a fast-paced and fun group that believes strongly in putting the user first and working backward from customer obsession and setting a high bar for everything we ship. You will be a key designer leader in our new design group, focusing on a mix of designing from scratch embedded banking experiences, redesigns of SaaS banking products and contributing to and extending our FIS design system. Beyond this you will help shape the design culture and work hand in hand with product, engineering, and others to launch and ship high quality products to our customers and users.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive and leverage customer insights to define the requirements of end-to-end product experiences and features.

  • Design product experiences for a mix of developer, mobile and SaaS products.

  • Lead design sprints and design planning processes as part of the product lifecycle

  • Deliver final designs to engineering and stay closely involved throughout to see them to launch

  • Develop and maintain design systems that can be applied across financial software products.

  • Conduct design sprints and exercises to ideate and create exceptional user experiences.

  • Drive the cultural shift towards a design-forward environment by establishing and implementing design-oriented mechanisms and operating systems.

What you will need:

  • 6 years as a product designer at consumer or Enterprise technology company

  • Strong understanding of design principles, user experience, and usability best practices.

  • Demonstrated experienced working closely with product and engineering to ship and iterate on customer-facing products

  • Thorough knowledge of UX research approaches and methodologies.

  • Familiarity with modern developer platforms and ecosystems.

  • Proven ability to turn research results into product designs.

  • Ability to influence a range of audiences and manage multiple projects concurrently.

What we offer you:

A career at FIS is more than just a job. It’s the change to shape the future of fintech. At FIS, we offer you:

  • A voice in the future of fintech
  • Always-on learning and development
  • Collaborative work environment
