You will of course need to know current plumbing code, be able to get along well with inspectors, and be organized in your work.

Responsibilities:
Follow relevant codes, regulations and safety techniques
Test piping systems with water and air pressure to maintain balance and accuracy
Perform pipe installation and fitting according to proper specifications
Maintain tools and equipment to keep all supplies in excellent working conditions
Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
Identify and locate required tools prior to starting each project
Study blueprints and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, pipe installation sequence and installation around possible obstructions
Install and extend water piping systems to connect fixtures and plumbing
Complete walk-throughs of completed systems to verify code adherence
Create and submit daily reports on progress of plumbing projects
Operate equipment and remain focused on safety at all times
Cut and fit pipes to established measurements
Test plumbing systems to locate leaks, malfunctions repair needs
Select Pex and ABS materials to install plumbing systems in residential dwellings
Use impact and expansion power tools to create assemblies and sub-assemblies
Qualifications:
A completed apprenticeshipPL02 Plumbing License
Valid Driver's License5 years of experience doing rough-in plumbing
Strength and dexterity
Basic math aptitude
Pipefitting processes expertise
Knowledgeable of applicable local codes
Good mechanical aptitude
Experienced with power tools
