What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Financial Analyst position at Fiserv?

The Corporate Development Financial Analyst is a core member of a team responsible for the
development and execution of Fiserv strategic growth initiatives, including investments, acquisitions,
divestitures, and other strategic transactions. This is an important role that will challenge you
professionally and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support strategy and Fiserv business objectives, including the development and tracking of
acquisition and investment opportunities across Fiserv business units and geographies
  • Support business case creation and prepare valuation and supporting analyses to assess
the impact of initiatives
o Assist in the development and communication of strategic and financial case to gain
business unit and corporate leadership support for development initiatives
o Support all phases of transaction execution, from inception through post-closing
o Coordinate due diligence processes
o Facilitate integration planning process, as required
  • Perform industry and competitive research to support strategy / business cases
o Analyze industry dynamics and the competitive landscape
o Analyze company SEC filings, Wall Street research, and consultant/market research
reports
  • Support special projects in connection with the Corporate Development team mission
  • Must be able to define issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ensure accuracy and transparency of information flow across transaction teams

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Science, or
a technical field; demonstrated record of academic and/or professional achievement
  • 1 years of experience in M&A, FP&A or Strategic Planning (preference for areas of
acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, venture/other investments) or equivalent experience
at top investment banking, consulting, or accounting firm

Preferred Qualifications for Consideration:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Science, or
a technical field; demonstrated record of academic and/or professional achievement
  • 2 years of experience in M&A, FP&A or Strategic Planning (preference for areas of
acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, venture/other investments) or equivalent experience
at top investment banking, consulting, or accounting firm
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills, including advanced understanding of valuation
principles and financial statement analysis, and exceptional Microsoft Excel capabilities
  • Strong written / verbal communication skills, including advanced facility with Microsoft

  • Outstanding attitude and teamwork / collaboration skills
  • Highly inquisitive; capacity for distilling large volume of information and deploying strong
business acumen to draw conclusions in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to interact with senior executives clearly and confidently
