What does a successful Software Development Engineer do at Fiserv?
The Software Development Engineer consults with project teams and functional units on the design of important projects or services. Helps support existing business systems applications and demonstrates proficiency and leadership within agile methodologies. Balances and prioritizes project work efficiently. Design applications, analyze, lead and coordinate business enterprise solutions. Develops high performance micro services and sets high standards of code quality.
What will you do?

As a Development Engineer, you will be working closely with the existing team and scrum master in providing expertise in project architecture, design, and system implementations.

Analyze business requirements, crafting functional technical designs, business level documentation and code development is a must.

Collaborate with internal partners to gather business requirements and translate them into a technical solution.

You will be expected to be a major contributor to the team to deliver working software to production every sprint following coding standards and practicing techniques like Test Driven Development (TDD).

Develop microservices, web UI applications and deploy them into AWS (or Azure) environment using the latest CI/CD tools.

Analyze performance issue using modern tools and have a focus on code quality working hand in hand with out test engineers. Be part of a great team and work in modern technologies and make a difference for our clients!
What you will need to have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or relevant work experience
-
7 to 10 years of experience with Object Oriented Programming using modern Java tech stack.

Strong hands-on experience with Java, Java Spring Framework, Angular and other development frameworks

Experience with web services and related Microservice technologies and Architecture, API gateway.

Experience in full software development life cycle using agile methodologies.

Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux OS.

Ability to write high quality code with automated testing and TDD. Ability to analyze business requirements, crafting functional technical designs, business level documentation and code development.

Debug code, problem analysis, issue resolution and identify root-cause.

Practices functional or process leadership; work is complex and ambiguous with tactical responsibilities.

Technical and process decisions impact multiple teams and cross multiple groups/product lines

Manages project/resource deliverable schedules, funding and prioritization of schedules to successful outcomes.

Assesses business needs, conducts feasibility studies and develops formal cost benefit analysis.
