What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at FISH RESTAURANT?
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
- Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information to callers
- Help maintain a clean and organized host/host station
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth guest flow
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
- Provide excellent customer service and create a positive dining experience for guests
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with guests
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other restaurant staff members
