What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Fresh Seafood Clerk position at Fisherman's Dock?
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their seafood selections and answering any questions they may have.
- Receive, inspect, and store seafood products in accordance with food safety guidelines.
- Prepare and package seafood products for display and sale.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of seafood to maintain freshness and quality.
- Clean and sanitize work area, equipment, and utensils to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and replenishing as needed.
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the highest standards of food quality.
Skills:
- Knowledge of kitchen or restaurant operations, including food preparation, handling, and production processes.
- Experience in the food industry, particularly with seafood or meat cutting, is preferred.
- Proficient in using knives and other cutting tools safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive shopping experience for customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
