Assistant General Manager

As an Assistant General Manager, you will be second in command for all operational and sales functions within the club. We are looking for positive team players to join our AWESOME team!

Responsibilities:

• Staff Recruitment and Management
  • Overall departmental staff management
    • Front Desk
    • Playland
    • In-house cleaning/maintenance
  • Recruiting
  • Interviewing
  • New hire onboarding
  • Training
  • Scheduling/shift coverage
  • Performance evaluation
  • Recommendation of corrective action as appropriate
• Policy Oversight
  • Attendance, absenteeism, and Tardiness
  • Zero tolerance: sexual harassment, drug, and alcohol
  • Theft
  • Shift coverage and documentation
  • Dress code
  • Respect for team members
  • Maintaining clean work and shared spaces

• Marketing and Targeted Communication
  • Lead follow up and conversion
  • Assist sales team in developing effective follow-up skills
  • Recommendations for social media management, updates, and monitoring
  • Internal lead generation (passes, signage, new member VIP vouchers)
  • External marketing (reciprocal, pass distribution, membership special collateral)

• Support facility/equipment maintenance and functionality
  • Systematic equipment inspection and report needed repairs
  • Systematic facility inspection and report needed repairs
• Support growth of Personal Training operations
  • Help synchronize PT and sales team objectives in support of sales goals
    • New member handoff
    • Review current results
    • Review future appoints, potential prospects and sales forecast
• Assist General Manager with Payroll operations
  • Time Clock Punch Management
  • Commissions
    • Group Fit
    • Personal Training
    • Club/Retail/Ancillary Sales

• Willingness to be trained on all FITWORKS systems and processes
• Familiarity with CMS/CRM software a plus
• Desire to achieve set goals and metrics in a fast-paced environment

• An ability to deliver constructive criticism
• Computer literate and basic Math skills
• An ability to identify weaknesses and provide coaching where necessary
