What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material QC Technician position at Five-S Group?
The material QC technician will work closely with the Director of Engineering and Quality (DOEQ), Materials Manager, Superintendents, and Operation team for each project assigned. The Materials QC Technician will be responsible for materials sampling and laboratory testing of soils and aggregates per project specification under the direction of the DOEQ. Materials QC Technician will work closely with 3rd party testing laboratories to ensure proper sampling methods and testing procedures are followed. The position requires the exercise of physical material sampling, decisions-making and excellent communication skills.
periodic travel with overnight stay may be required to visit project sites and / or material sources. this individual will represent Five-S throughout the southern united states with primary responsibilities in south Louisiana and Texas territory. the base of operation and office is in port Arthur, Texas.
