Fivecast’s Intelligence Team is responsible for researching, collecting, analyzing, and sharing critical information and data on online threat groups critical to US and International security.
We are hiring for a team of Intelligence Analysts, who will be subject matter and intelligence collection specialists using Fivecast solutions, manual research, and 3rd party databases to deliver operationally relevant data and information to our customers. Our Intelligence Analysts will work to locate threat groups’ communications and operations online and provide critical insights and datasets to a variety of clients across Defense, Intelligence, Law Enforcement, and Corporate Security sectors.
This will require experience leveraging open-source intelligence and commercially available intelligence tools, utilising a variety of techniques in conducting open-source research and investigations, collection skills and the ability to report on threat groups.

Responsibilities
- Collecting, analysing and interpreting data from a variety of different sources
- Navigate through complex online environments and 3rd party datasets to turn data collection requests into well-defined tasks and outputs
- Work with 3rd parties to leverage their expertise or data products
- Create datasets and work across teams to embed them across our products
- US citizen
- Located in the Arlington/Washington DC area: 4 days in office & 1 day flexible WFH
- Bachelor’s degree in National Security studies, Criminal Intelligence, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Business, Economics, International Relations, or Foreign Studies
- Expert knowledge of open-source research and intelligence gathering techniques, particularly where access to or availability of official/privileged sources is limited.
- Strong understanding of intelligence assessment techniques and tools, as well as how to perform analysis manually (without automated or specialised tools) and an understanding of the relationship between collections, targeting, and analysis
- Expertise in at least one of the below specialist areas, with experience as a subject matter expert, regional expert, linguistic expert, collection specialist, or targeter:
- Transnational Organized Crime (TOC) with focus on Americas
- Drug Trafficking
- Human Trafficking
- International Terrorism
- International Criminal Syndicates
- Latin America strategic/military analyst
- Formal intelligence analysis training, such as military, intelligence community, or law enforcement analytic courses, Army OS 301 & 302, CASO course (Blackhorse), Intel techniques OSINT course
- Exceptional logic and reasoning skills and the capability to analyse large data sets
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills
- Work effectively to meet tight deadlines, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Basic Spanish reading skills
- Experience working in a military intelligence, law enforcement, Government, or private intelligence environment as an Intelligence Analyst, Collection Specialist, Targeting Analyst, Personnel Security Vetting Officer or similar position.
- Experience contributing to law enforcement investigations, knowledge of the evidential chain and where intelligence can be converted to evidence.
- Expert understanding of current subject matter relevant to the Fivecast customers across counter terrorism, counter-intelligence, cyber threats, security-vetting, supply-chain risk management and border security issues
- Strong grasp of US and 5-eyes current affairs and National Security interests.
- Base salary range $80k-145k (dependant on experience)
