The Electrical Assembler is a skilled craft position, distinguished from a Product Assembler (Bench) or General Assembler, as it requires more training, knowledge and experience to develop the skills necessary to perform the activities of the job - generally two to three years.

Duties & Responsibilities: All duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the position. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Comply with company safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Adhere to quality standards, ensuring assemblies meet/exceed customer and company requirements
- Complete assemblies on time while working either individually or as part of a team
- Assemble all electrical and mechanical aspects of control panels and other related items
- Read and interrupt electrical schematics, from which wiring charts and notes are developed
- Pull parts from inventory based on bills of material and work with purchasing to resolve missing parts
- Document changes and corrections to any and all drawings, descriptions, bills of material, etc.
- Safely use basic hand, electric and pneumatic tools
- Safely operate machinery such as drill presses and punches
- Safely use overhead cranes to lift, move, and manipulate larger parts
- Safely operate tow motors and other electric vehicles
- Tap, drill, ream, punch, and de-burr holes, using presses, drills, punches, grinders, and hand files
- Align components, and bolt or screw them together, using hand tools or portable powered tools
- Diagnose and repair assemblies and products that are returned from the field
- Perform inventory management functions as needed, including receiving and shipping tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experiences
- Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly environment
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, layout drawings, and assembly instructions
- Experience with electrical wiring
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude required to diagnose and solve issues arising during manufacturing
- Experience using basic hand tools and small machinery
- Experience using overhead cranes and hoists preferred
- Experience using a tow motor preferred
- Experience using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
- Experience using ERP/MRP software applications (Oracle, SAP) preferred
