FitLab is teaming up with Nike to create a new group fitness experience that inspires movement with the support of world-class coaches, workouts, and community. Nike Studios will bring the fun and excitement through community and sweat to group fitness while also maintaining the standard of excellence in  training and coaching in our circuit style class. 

To bring this incredible opportunity to life, we are on the search for an exceptional Head Trainer to establish the standard for passion, energy, and effort among the trainer staff, oversee quality control and ensure the delivery of a unique and exceptional fitness class experience. Here's how you'll make it happen:

Objectives of this role:

• Lead in consistent recruitment, assessment, and selection of top trainer talent. 
• Maintain a network of high performing trainers across all FitLab studios.
• Demonstrate adherence to brand standards through the delivery of high-quality Nike Studio classes.
• Supervise the cleanliness of the facility and ensure proper maintenance of equipment. 
• Collaborate with the studio manager to enhance member sales and retention through strategic studio initiatives.
• Act as the liaison between the studio and FitLab Performance Team by contributing insight on programming, equipment, and talent.
• Participate in content development on an as needed basis.

Requirements

Your skill set: 

• Proven ability to lead small teams, developing talent, and managing trainer relationships and team culture.
• Demonstrable experience successfully leading large group fitness classes
• In depth expertise in the areas of exercise science, effective coaching language, training modalities, equipment and exercise techniques 
• High attention to detail, resourcefulness, and problem solving skills 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team and multiple cross-functional project teams.
• Proficient with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).   
• A background check will be conducted on all final candidates upon receipt of the signed offer letter and release form.

• This is a physically demanding role. This role is required to safely demonstrate and perform various exercise movements with and/or without the use of equipment and have the ability to transport equipment (up to 100 lbs.)
• Ability to perform an aerobic activity for duration of a class, which may include, but not limited to, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, and kneeling
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. To complete the essential functions this role, candidates must be able to communicate with members and/or co-workers in spaces with moderate to loud levels of volume
