We are looking to hire a General Labor Associate in Anaheim, CA. This is contract to hire opportunity to join our Team!

Summary:

Responsible for moving materials within the warehouse during different stages of the order fulfillment process, such as, but not limited to receiving, stocking, pulling to process (including operating various types of saws and shears and processing equipment), packaging, and loading onto transports.

Utilizes a variety of saws, shears, and processing equipment in conjunction with preparing and completing orders.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Interacts and communicates with customers and fellow employees in a friendly and professional manner.
• Follows all Company Safety Rules.
• Has knowledge of company products and materials and knows material locations in warehouse facilities.
• Locates and safely pulls material indicated on work orders using the appropriate material handling equipment. (i.e., forklifts, order picker, etc.).
• Verifies the size of materials with the use of calipers, tape measure, and/or color coding system.
• Confirms that pulled material meets Company quality standards.
• Documents material pulled using established Company procedures.
• Understands and uses the proper tagging process.
• Assists in stocking materials, storing materials in accordance with Company policies.
• Understands the significance of a “Heat” and “Lot” Number and the proper way to handle and identify materials with stocking tags.
• Ensures that materials of the same grade are stored properly.
• Uses proper packaging procedures for different types of material.
• Comprehends and follows information contained on work orders, to include special instructions, to ensure proper order fulfillment.
• Safely operates all cutting equipment, such as, but not limited Skil and wood saws.
• Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner. Performs general housekeeping.
• Identifies and properly handles brokered items, customer dedicated material and buyouts. Assists most other departments when needed.
• Efficiently and safely handles sheet material.
• Safely operates all cutting equipment, such as, but not limited Skil, abrasive, band, plate, and cut-off saws.
• Efficiently coordinates cutting production and maximizes the use of saws.
• Understands the processing capability of all equipment, maximizing the safe operation of all related equipment.
• Processes returns and receives inbound material from freight companies and shippers (i.e. UPS, Fed-Ex) using the Company computer system.
• Properly inspects incoming material to meet company standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
