Job Description:
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, operating a forklift, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This position requires a high level of safety awareness and the ability to work safely around equipment and other employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load and unload product onto or off of trucks.
- Operate a forklift to move product around the warehouse or inside of buildings.
- Check in product onto the computer system.
- Maintain safe work environment by keeping shelves, palletized materials, and equipment in good condition.
- Perform daily inspection of product to ensure it meets specifications.
- Follow all company safety rules and regulations as set forth in Company policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain excellent customer service skills by providing exceptional service to our customers at all times.
- Complete all required paperwork for shipping/receiving/inventory reports.
- Help maintain cleanliness of warehouse by sweeping, sweeping racks, emptying trash cans, etc. daily.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager that pertain to shipping/receiving/inventory operations.
Skills Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of: Forklift Operation, Inventory operation, Material handling procedures, Shipping/receiving procedures, Computer skills, Safety awareness at all times. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
