What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Intern position at Flamingo?
About the Roles (Three Summer Intern Positions)
At Harry’s, Inc., we build brands that consumers love. Starting in 2013 with Harry’s, a men’s grooming brand, we’ve since expanded to four distinct CPG brands including Flamingo, our women's body hair brand, and Headquarters, our newest root-obsessed hair care brand. And we’re looking for three social media interns to help bring our brands’ stories to life across all our social channels.
As a Summer Intern, you’ll be part of the core teams responsible for external communication with our brands’ communities. It will be a unique learning experience: You will learn the ins and outs of bringing a brand to life across all channels (DTC, Retail, Brand Marketing, Partnerships, In-Store Marketing, Packaging, to name a few). The Social Media Intern role plays an important part by assisting our team with ideas on strategy, content planning, and day-to-day channel management. During your time on the team, you’ll learn all about running social media for a brand, launching new channels, and producing social content/campaigns.
We’re looking for someone who values the learning experience and is the ultimate team player: dedicated, enthusiastic, and ready to learn!
About our Teams
Harry’s - Harry’s, Inc. started in 2013 with simple, fairly priced products that delivered an amazing experience to guys every day. Since then, Harry's has expanded to the UK, developed relationships with retailers such as Target and Walmart, and expanded our grooming brand into a personal care powerhouse. The key to our success? Our amazing people. Our brand answers unmet consumer needs, but our company is a place of inclusion and innovation that attracts some of the brightest minds across industries, geographies, and backgrounds.
As a Harry’s Social Media Summer Intern, you’ll be observing and learning from the Creative Comms team. We’re a dynamic group of creative, strategic, super talented, and fun folks (if we do say so ourselves)! Our team is at the frontlines of the Harry’s brand, which is a job we take seriously… but that doesn’t mean we don’t have fun while doing it.
Flamingo - With well-designed products and honest conversations at its core, Flamingo launched in 2018 with a suite of products for body hair. Since then, we have expanded our assortment to be the first brand that offers products for every routine: razors, wax strips for face and body, shave gel, body lotion, and Mons Mist. In February 2019, Flamingo launched at Target stores nationwide, immediately jumping to the top of the bestseller list for razors, wax strips, and shave gel. Our products and campaigns have been covered by outlets like Vogue, Vanity Fair, Elle, and InStyle, and we’ve won major beauty accolades like Allure’s Best in Beauty and Self’s Healthy Beauty awards.
As the Social Media Intern, you'll assist on social media strategy, content plans, and reporting, assist in proactive and reactive community engagement online, search for the newest trends, and learn about influencer marketing.
Headquarters - Hi, we’re Headquarters. Some people might call us “root-obsessed,” and they’re right—because we know that a great head of hair starts with healthy roots. Headquarters is a best-in-class haircare brand that grew out of the needs of real women, a ton of research, and a lot of love. Launched in January 2021, we’re the newest brand developed by Harry’s, Inc. and we’re here to prove that there’s a better way for people to engage with their own hair health, one day at a time.
As the Social & Community Intern, you will be observing and learning from the core team responsible for external communication with the Headquarters brand community. This role will assist in all aspects of running the brand's social accounts, as well as participating in influencer marketing and PR needs. You will learn the ins and outs of running a brand’s social channels as well as gain insight and first-hand experience in the influencer marketing industry.
