As the Learning & Development Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with the business to deliver blended learning opportunities across the organization. The role will focus on developing the cultural, technical, and professional skills that matter most to our teams. This will be accomplished with coordinated interactions with our business subject matter experts.
Evaluates curriculums and programs and determine ways to increase the effectiveness of all established and developmental training efforts.
Builds relationships with subject matter experts and business leaders across the organization to identify needs and opportunities to create content to support business initiatives.
Creates engaging learning activities and course content for in-person and online curricula, and other programs as needed.
Researches learning industry trends, methodologies, and best practices to integrate those into professional application.
Evaluates and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Provides input into learning strategy and plan, including continual evaluation of the current state to inform strategy for the future.
Leads project teams to ensure the effective development and delivery of experiments, pilots, innovation strategies, and processes.
Employs an agile, flexible, and human-centered design approach, adopting the learner perspective to iteratively clarify needs and ideate impactful development solutions.
Leverages market research for learning innovations, new technologies, and benchmarks to create and deploy leading practice learning experiences.
Builds, manages, and leverages positive, collaborative partnerships among business stakeholders, SMEs and peers.
Oversees content development and organization of Career Management System.
Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.
Performs additional assignments per management’s direction.
Bachelor's Degree required.
10 years related experience required.
Experience working within the construction, energy, manufacturing or related industry required.
Experience with learning management platforms and visual development tools
Significant end-to-end project/program management experience in successfully conceptualizing, planning, managing, delivering, and monitoring multiple, concurrent, and complex work streams in a matrixed organization with aggressive timelines
The ability to present to large groups, facilitate and/or co-facilitate existing and future professional development training sessions
Strong organizational skills, creative thinking skills, and curriculum planning ability
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment
Demonstrated analytics experience; ability to analyze and synthesize both quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources to identify themes and develop compelling recommendations
Strong critical thinking ability to identify interdependencies between issues, data, and outcomes
Established track record for taking a consultative approach to designing and delivering innovative learning programs with measurable business results that meet stakeholder needs
Proven ability to communicate ideas and insights in person, virtually, and in writing, succinctly and with impact, understanding what is relevant vs. what is "noise" to audiences at all management levels
Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills, including with senior leaders
Strong command of MS Office skills and ability to produce deliverables that carry a "stamp of excellence."
Ability to travel 20-30%, on average to project and district locations.
