What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Manager position at Flatrock River Lodge?
We’re seeking a full-time Certified Dietary Manager to join our team of exceptional and dedicated directors and caregivers. Dietary Manager, Registered Dietician, Culinary degree or certification or combo of combined experience. We are looking for individuals with a desire to contribute and make a difference in the lives of the community we serve.
This is a supervisor position responsible for assisting in planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure the quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the Dietary Department is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified Dietary Manager in good standing with all applicable federal and state requirements or willing to enroll in training to satisfactorily complete the requirements to become a Certified Dietary Manager or a registered dietitian.
- Tuition assistance or reimbursement may be available
- Must be at least 18 years or older
- Previous in a supervisory capacity
- Positive attitude toward the elderly
- Experience in cooking/Kitchen operations.
Job Duties Include:
- Supervise and direct the Dietary Department and assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and maintaining its programs and activities
- Ensure an ongoing quality assurance program
- Coordinate dietary services and activities with nursing services or other related departments
- Assist in developing, reviewing and planning normal, special and therapeutic diet plans for residents;
- Ensure meals are prepared and served in accordance with menu and diet preferences and established portion control procedures
- Maintain proper records to ensure residents diets are in compliance with physician’s orders
