Accounting Specialist   What We Need FLEETCOR is currently looking to hire a Accounting Specialist within our Accounting & Finance division. This position falls under our Corpay line of business and is located in Beaverton, OR. In this role, you will assist the Director of Accounting with a wide range of projects and activities in the accounting and reporting areas. The primary duties will include accounts receivable and accounts payable, and general ledger. Successful candidates must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, strong organizational skills and pay close attention to details. A prominent level of initiative-taking problem solving and follow through are necessary for success. . You will report directly to the Director and regularly collaborate with Finance team. The salary range for this role is $50k-$55k. How We Work As a Accounting Specialist you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. FLEETCOR will set you up for success by providing: Assigned workspace in Beaverton, OR Company-issued equipment  Monthly home internet stipend Role Responsibilities The responsibilities of the role will include: Assist with day-to-day accounting activities and back up the Director of Accounting. Prepare and distribute monthly invoices to customers, collections, and correspondences. Enter vendor bills, maintain vendors, and respond to vendor inquiries. Update weekly cash flow projections and reporting. Assist with company insurance needs and adhoc reporting. Enter information into accounting software and document processes and controls. Run regular and ad hoc reports for accounting. Assist with month end, quarter end, and year end requests for compliance and audit. Assist with future ERP implementation to Microsoft Dynamics 365. Audit support for year end, SOX controls, external and internal audits. Complete miscellaneous special projects within the Accounting Department Qualifications & Skills Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred by not required 2 years of experience in accounting related positions; accounting software experience preferred. Advanced computer skills required, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Economics and Accounting — Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data. Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic, financial math, statistics, and their applications Attention to Detail — Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved. Ability to work with large data files and numbers. Data Entry and Verification – Ability to accurately record, verify, audit and follow-up on data within specified time limits. Ability to arrange actions within rules and procedures. Analytical Thinking — The ability to use critical thinking and critical thinking skills to find a solution or complete an exercise. Being able to ability to visualize, articulate, conceptualize, or solve both complex and uncomplicated problems by making decisions that are sensible given the available information. Administrative — Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records in a database, and other office procedures and terminology. Service Orientation and Social Perceptiveness— Actively looking for ways to help people while being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do. Technology— Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and data driven tools. Ability to learn Corpay’s systems and software. Use of database products, Accounting Software (QuickBooks), customer relationship software (Salesforce), expense reimbursement (Expense Track).
