Data Analyst II The purpose of this document is to outline the basic expectations of the Data Analyst II role so that we are aligned on the responsibilities and competencies that are required. Please be aware that other obligations and responsibilities may be required that are not outlined in this document as our team continues to evolve and growth. Summary of Responsibilities:The Data Analyst II is responsible for advancing our data and reporting environment by:  •Creating and maintaining database objects, data models, and end-user reports•Helping to advance the self-service reporting environment•Proactively investigate business processes to determine how to best answer questions given•Proactively suggest questions that may not have been initially asked to improve business processes•Take the initiative to reach out to various other members of the organization to investigate business and data needsRole Expectations and Responsibilities:The expectations and responsibilities for the Data Analyst II role are, but not limited to:  •Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, and dashboards and that support key business decisions•Identify business model improvement opportunities and actionable strategic initiatives through robust analytics, work independently and within the team to implement initiatives•Organize and drive analytical insight initiatives from conception to completion – being cognizant of status and roadblocks, and escalating as necessary to leaders to ensure success and on-time delivery.•Develops expertise in business processes and reporting skills through job-related training•Acts as an expert by providing thoughtful insights of trends and patterns identified in reporting and data models •Answer more challenging data inquiries and helping to refine data standards•Completion of Ad Hoc projects and reporting assigned by Director Key Competencies:  Analytical and Critical Thinking Provide thoughtful and relevant, data-driven insights that identify business problems/trends and create practical solutions. This requires going beyond the data mining, data collection, and the simple calculations of data. Time ManagementManage multiple assignments and tasks effectively, while working calmly in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times, flexing and adjusting schedule to meet business needs. OwnershipTake ownership of projects and reporting requested by internal customers - establishing the need, requirements, and timeline of project and reporting requests, while simultaneously completing regularly assigned tasks.CommunicationCommunicate with stakeholders, management, and business leaders with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Qualifications:  •1-2 years’ experience in data, reporting, and/or analytical role •Advanced skills in business analytics and office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, and Salesforce are must. Experience with databases and tools, such as Tableau and SQL Server is preferred. •Experience in data warehousing, big data, business intelligence, reporting, and analytics.•Extensive experience and willingness to dive into large/complex data sets; ability to perform data validation, clean up and transformation needed for business analysis.•Proficiencies in tracking and identifying data trends and providing actionable, data-driven feedback for customer experience improvements.•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work within a remote team environment.•Willingness to learn and implement feedback.•Thorough, detail oriented, and committed to accuracy.•Motivated self-starter with ability to define, structure and prioritize work and has the flexibility and capability to change priorities when circumstances dictate.Personal Attributes:•The ability to work independently or within a team in a remote environment•The ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt easily to rapidly business changes and multiple areas for focus•Strong interpersonal skills •Results and problem-solving focused•Accountability, ownership, and integrity#LI-QB1 #REMOTE
