Job Summary
The Electronic Distribution Specialist is responsible for growing and maintaining the electronic distribution of the CLC Network of hotels. He or she must have excellent written and oral communication skills, be detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. The Electronic Distribution Specialist must have strong customer-service skills, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as an inquisitive attitude and ability to learn proprietary software. Daily responsibilities will include researching, identifying, resolving, and escalating errors and defects impacting connectivity as well as updating and maintaining hotel set up and mapping. Strong, regular communication with hotel partners and chain contacts will be essential for success in the role.
Responsibilities
- Grow and maintain the electronic distribution of the CLC network through directory management and on-going hotel updates
- Complete audits and cleanup initiatives to maintain accuracy of the CLC network
- Maintain necessary electronic files and records
- Establish and build rapport with chain contacts and hotel partners to increase the number of opted-in hotels
- Make phone calls and/or send emails to hotels regarding connectivity status
- Research, identify, communicate, and resolve issues impacting connectivity
- Troubleshoot internal and external issues impacting connectivity
- Perform test reservations, record, and analyze results to identify source of errors
- Coordinate with connectivity partners to resolve issues
- Communicate with management and IT team identified defects impacting connectivity
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Electronic Distribution Manager and/or Vice President of Lodging Connectivity
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality,
- Experience with Derbysoft and/or GDS highly preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn and navigate multiple PC and web based applications
- Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Excel
- Works well with others
- Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environments
- Ability to identify, communicate and resolve issues effectively
- Demonstrates a high degree of initiative, responsibility, persistence, and ownership
Performance Standards
- Adhere to all FLT Procedures and Processes
- Provide consistent accuracy and service with minimal errors
- Deliver weekly summary of completed assignments and tasks to manager for performance evaluation
- Attend regular 1-1 meetings with manager to discuss obstacles, issues, and upcoming tasks
