Account Executive - Corporate Communications, Technology Sector (Hybrid)

FleishmanHillard, a global integrated communications agency, is looking for an Account Executive to join our growing Corporate Communications/Technology Sector practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco office. This position will work with our clients on media relations and corporate storytelling, brand-building, reputation management, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and multi-stakeholder communications. Our expertise and clients span enterprise and consumer technology in areas like AI, cloud computing, SaaS and security, autonomous vehicle technology and gaming.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day activities supporting clients executing integrated corporate communications programs, including media relations, content creation, thought leadership/executive visibility, reputation management, corporate social responsibility, and crisis/issues. Clients will primarily be in the technology sector.
• Review/assess industry trends to identify opportunities to inject FH’s clients into current news cycles; drive story idea development, work closely with media to shape and control communications that are in line with overall account objectives.
• Provide proactive client counsel, insights, and creative recommendations to meet client goals.
• Write and edit pitches, plans, memos, research, written content, media materials, website and social media content, client correspondence, and collateral.
• Support campaign & program development through relevant research and contributing ideas to media activations, planning meetings, and brainstorms.
• Assist with event planning and management for client and media events.

Qualifications

• Ability to join us in a hybrid model of working in-person in our San Francisco office weekly.
• 2 years of experience in a communications-focused role with an emphasis on communications and public relations. Agency experience is strongly preferred. Experience executing global and regional corporate reputation programs is a plus.
• Excellent writing capabilities and relationships with reporters. Proven success working with trade and national business media, and a demonstrated hands-on media approach is required.
• Ability to develop strategic, comprehensive communications plans that apply creative tactics and use a variety of communication channels.
• Understanding of integrated communications and content distribution across earned, owned and paid media platforms, specifically understanding of paid social execution.
• Multitasker, self-starter, proactive, problem solve, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $54,500 - $70,000.

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.
