Job Summary: This tax internship opportunity will be focused primarily on Sales and Use tax and Unclaimed Property tax but there are opportunities to explore and learn about other types of taxes at Flender Corporation, if desired. Job Responsibilities: Participate (under supervision) in all stages of tax filings relating to sales and use tax, including data gathering, preparation of returns, and tax research, where needed Assist in verifying and uploading tax exemption certificates into the tax software Assist in the preparation of Unclaimed Property tax returns Perform general administrative task and other essential duties Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, a team player and deadline driven; possess strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral Must be a college student working towards a degree in Accounting or Finance and have taken at least 1 accounting class Basic PC skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint Flender is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
