Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementation of best practices and standards for WRU data collection, entry, monitoring, and reporting in the LCTCS WRU database for Fletcher’s WRU Adult Education Program.

  • Responsible for implementation of best practices and standards for WRU data collection, entry, monitoring, and reporting in the LCTCS WRU database for Fletcher’s WRU Adult Education Program.

  • Responsible for record keeping process and system, compliant with WRU grant guidelines.

  • Establish and maintain filing system (electronic and hard copy) of WRU and student information.

  • Responsible for accurate and timely entry of data into WorkReady U / LCTCS database and any spreadsheets.

  • Produce performance scorecards and reports to monitor program performance on a weekly basis.

  • Monitor time and attendance hours for WRU students and input into the LCTCS WRU database.

  • Coordinate with beginning and continuing students and faculty/staff to schedule appropriate testing needs.

  • Coordinate with Lafourche Parish School Board office on referrals for Substitute Teachers (TABE testing, referral to Adult Education faculty for additional tutoring, and/or issue certifications for successful completion of Advanced Level of TABE in Reading, Language, and Math.)

  • Input test scores (Locator, TABE/TABE CLAS-E Pre-test and Post-test, HiSET Practice Tests) for all students enrolled in Adult Education, Workforce Training, and ESL at Fletcher.

  • Administer/monitor Locate, TABE CLAS –E, and HiSET Official Practice Test.

  • Seek opportunities to encourage and/or refer potential students to appropriate Fletcher Staff for WorkReady U Testing Center, Workforce Training and Academic Program services.

  • Provide instructional support to WorkReady U Adult Education Instructors.

  • Assist with documentation and information to support timely follow-up on requests from students, parents/legal guardians, court systems, etc.

  • Assist students setting up accounts and registering for the HiSET exam.

  • Monitor attendance and correspondence with students enrolled/participating in the online distance learning platform.

  • Route mail to proper faculty or staff within the WorkReady U Adult Education Program.

  • WRU Database navigation.

  • Knowledge of office equipment and systems.

  • Initiative and persistence to see a project or assignment to completion.

  • Strong public relations and customer service skills.

  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail; and an aptitude for creativity.

  • Analyzing processes and making improvements.

  • Utilizing computer technology used for communication, data gathering and reporting.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

  • Work independently and cooperatively to promote the overall vision and success of Fletcher Technical Community College and the WorkReady U Adult Education Program.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education: Bachelors degree required. An Associate’s Degree with at least (5) years’ work experience with
administrative responsibilities may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree.
