What are the responsibilities and job description for the Decor Associate position at Flex-Staff, Inc.?
Decor Associate IMMEDIATE OPENINGS!!!! This is an EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY if you enjoy working with hand and power tools.
Responsibilities: Cutting, fabrication and prepping wood products.
- Producing and assembly of half walls top cap decor, multi-layer decor, art elements.
- Use of table saw, pin nailers, routers, drills and cut-off saws as needed for projects.
- Sand and prep surfaces for paint and/or staining.
Hours: 2nd shift- Mon-Fri 3:30pm-11pm, Employee must be aware, for the first 5 weeks, employees will be given the option of working overtime, after 5 weeks there will be mandatory overtime Monday-Friday between 45-55 hours depending on the workload.
Requirements:
- Knowledgeable with measurement skills and operating hand tools: DA Sander, hand drill, miter saw, skill saw, various drills, buffer, utility knife etc.
- Ability to read basic shop drawings Able operate drill press, table saws, band saw, hand grinder, punch press, belt sander;
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Ability to lift 30- 50 pounds
Woodworking experience is ideal, otherwise, would consider someone that has worked in construction doing siding, drywall, flooring, etc.
They are looking for someone who has operated tools before and done the measuring. If they don't have this experience, they will not consider them.
**Candidate must be comfortable working on computers.**
