Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Materials Manager located in US Michigan Coopersville.
Reporting to the General Manager the Materials Manager, will be the responsible for directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in some or all of the following areas: material planning, distribution, inventory control, material research, purchasing and supply chain management by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates
What a typical day looks like:
- Manages, controls and directs the activities and staff involved in the distribution of inventory to the production line
- Ensure timely delivery of materials
- Coordinates with customers, purchasing, project managers, operations manager, productions managers, logistics and others
- Responsible for accurate inventory cycle counts and controls
- Develops, maintains and implements policies and procedures of material control systems
- Disposition of excess and obsolete
- Responsible for material planning, distribution, material analysis, purchasing and supply chain management
- Participates in the review of vendor and customer contracts by outlining requirements and considerations
- Responsible for directing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures within supply chain management
The experience we’re looking to add to our team,
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8 years of material and manufacturing experience, including supervision.
- ERP System
- Ability to interface and communicate with different levels of the organization
- Knowledge of the MS Office (Excel, power point)
- Strong leadership and supervisor
- Manufacturing previous experience
- Contact with suppliers and customers
