Job Title: Freelance Animator (Power Generation Animation)
Location: New York, NY (On-site in Queens)
Company Overview: Our company is a leading energy solutions provider based in New York City. We are committed to educating the public about sustainable power generation processes (solar, wind, battery power, etc.). We are seeking a skilled freelance animator to create three (3) engaging animations or GIFs that visually explain the intricacies of power generation, specifically the following:
1. steam cycle
2. simple cycle
3. combined cycle powerplant
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our team to understand the specific power generation processes (simple cycle, steam cycle, and combined cycle).
- Develop storyboards, sketches, and visual concepts to illustrate each process.
- Create high-quality animations or GIFs that effectively communicate complex technical information.
- Ensure accuracy in depicting components such as turbines, compressors, heat exchangers, and generators.
- Animate fluid flow, heat transfer, and other relevant aspects of power generation.
- Incorporate visual elements specific to each process.
- Revise and refine animations based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Meet project deadlines and deliver exceptional work.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in animation, motion graphics, or visual effects.
- Proficiency in animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Blender, Maya, or similar tools).
- Understanding of power generation processes, including simple cycle, steam cycle, and combined cycle.
- Strong visual storytelling skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Attention to technical accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Portfolio showcasing relevant animation work.
Additional Information:
- This is a freelance contract position for 1-2 months.
- On-site work in Queens is preferred, but remote work may be considered.
- Compensation will be based on experience and the complexity of the animation.
