Are you a seasoned Accounting Professional looking to become an Assistant Controller?
FlexTek Resources LLC has partnered with an Industrial Manufacturing Company located near the East Shreveport, LA area looking to add an Assistant Controller to their growing team.
This will be a Direct Hire position and looking to hire quickly! Must have a manufacturing background, specifically with standard cost. Need to understand all aspects from raw materials, process, as well as the finished product. 25% of the time you will be working on month end close activities as well as reconciliations. Responsible for daily cash reporting, sales reporting, and trial balances on a weekly basis. This role will be very repetitive day to day.
The Controller will be responsible for:
General as well as cost accounting functions and activities
Make recommendations for accurate and timely cost accounting systems
Collect cost data and provide information to management for decision-making
Monitor performance of the company in a timely manner
Provide cost information for quote requested
Prepare and review journal entries to the general ledger
Make sure that month end close is accurate and in compliance
Assist with budgets and forecasts, providing reports, etc.
Prepare and update all standard costs
Provide cost estimates to other department and make recommendations
Cost for product design and plant operations
The ideal candidate will possess:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, preferred
2 years of experience in a Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller
