Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Manager with experience in structural steel fabrication and detailing to oversee and manage fabrication projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of the project, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and budget adherence. This role requires a strong understanding of structural steel connections, engineering calculations, and project management best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Coordination: Manage multiple fabrication projects simultaneously, overseeing all phases including planning, scheduling, procurement, and execution.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and detailers to ensure clear communication and alignment on project specifications, timelines, and deliverables.
• Quality Assurance: Review and approve shop drawings, ensuring accuracy in structural steel detailing, including connections and calculations.
• Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, providing project updates, and managing expectations.
• Time Management: Effectively plan and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines, ensuring smooth workflow and minimizing delays.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, applying technical knowledge of steel fabrication and engineering.
• Budget Control: Monitor project costs to ensure alignment with the budget, adjusting schedules or resources as necessary to achieve cost-efficiency.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to safety standards and regulations.

Requirements:

• Experience: 2 years of experience in structural steel detailing and project management, particularly in fabrication projects.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of steel connections and engineering calculations is essential.
• Time Management: Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet tight project deadlines.
• Self-Motivation: Goal-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage teams and liaise with clients.
• Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Software: Familiarity with industry-standard detailing software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD) and project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a equivalent experience
• Experience working with large-scale fabrication projects.
