The Team
IT Team at FlexTrade is a fast-growing team and vital function of our business. We are a group of ‘get it done’ builders and visionaries that are client-focused and strategically minded. Although we are a small team, we leverage our cross-functional expertise to deliver quality campaigns to our stakeholders from strategy through execution. You will be part of a team managing a fully virtualized Linux and Windows infrastructure and Cisco network, making heavy use of configuration management and source control.
About You
- You will be Supporting & Managing for the SaaS Hosting Solution.
- You will Fulfill Service Requests for Linux Support.
- You will be provisioning and maintaining servers, both physical and virtual
- You can diagnose & resolve issues across multiple different areas such as Linux, Networking, storage, infrastructure etc.
- You know basic configuration of network devices.
- Role is based out of Sydney, Australia
- Planning, design, development, implementation, and execution Linux Systems Engineering.
- Drives identification and adoption of best-in-class deployment & development.
- Designs, develops, and implements platform enhancements and makes recommendations for improvements.
Responsibilities
- 7 years’ experience in Linux Administration, ideally RedHat / CentOS
- Experience of Linux OS upgrade, and migration.
- Extensive experience administrating Red Hat, CentOS, Debian or any enterprise or community Linux platform, with minimal support, including patching, package management, performance tuning, troubleshooting, networking, user management, and security.
- Extensive experience with scripting in Bash or Python.
- In-depth experience with Config Management tools/frameworks such as Ansible and Puppet.
- Detailed Knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, LDAP, SMTP, NFS and SNMP.
- Experience in Configuration, Management & Troubleshooting for technologies - Nginx, HAProxy, Apache, Squid, Iptables/Shorewall, SSL Certificates
- Detailed knowledge of Linux System Monitoring (Solarwinds & Nagios) and reporting.
- Detailed knowledge of NTP/PTP, Time synchronization Technologies
- Knowledge of application and server fault tolerance and load balancing services.
- Knowledge in Linux Server Hardening, Vulnerability Assessment and Linux Server Patching.
Hands on experience with installation of MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL will be added advantage. - Experience with SAN/SCSI storage systems, network attached storage systems, NFS, CIFS (Windows and Samba)
- Experience with incident management, change control management, and problem management support processes and methodologies.
- Hands on experience in resolving system performance issues, root cause analysis and complex problems.
- Must have worked in an ITIL compliant environment, worked with change control, incident mitigation.
- Good to have knowledge in AWS Cloud, Docker, Jenkins, Git & Windows Server Administration.
- Strong Knowledge in VMWare, VCenter is a Plus.
- Knowledge of APM (Application Performance Monitoring) Tools like – New Relic, AppDynamics is a Plus
- Desirable-Related certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, Puppet Certified Professional etc.
