WHAT YOU WILL DO
We are looking to add 2 Team Leads to our growing organization. If you have experience in Controls and Automation and/or experience with Data Acquisition inside a manufacturing facility; and want to lead a group of highly talented engineers, we want to have a conversation with you! We are looking for individuals to be located in or near the Fishers or Valparaiso areas.
We are on the hunt for individuals that strive to care for employees, while understanding what they are doing from a technical perspective. As a Team Lead at Flexware you will be responsible for a team of 5-7 engineers, work with Managers on assigning projects to team, and have some billable responsibilities. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Meet 1:1 with your Flexdogs on a weekly basis.
- Facilitate team meetings that encourages comradery
- Participate and discuss Flexdogs professional growth goals
- Ensure proper balance of time utilization by Flexdogs. I.E. Utilization targets are met, PTO is being taken, training is being utilized correctly, etc.
- Responsible for own billable utilization

Ensure data integrity of Projects and forecasting of Flexdogs is reflected in necessary systems
- Manage project assignments and ensure project budgets and timelines are being met
- Approve timesheets, expense claims, and invoices
- Conduct customer communications on progress of projects as needed
- Responsible for managing project schedules
- Assist Business Development team from time to time in customer visits and or assist and delegate proposal writing and project estimation.

WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE DONE BEFORE
Flexdogs are a rare breed of leaders and engineers. They come from varied backgrounds, but typically have some of the following traits:
- Received a technical Bachelor’s degree such as computer science, computer information technology, computer engineering, electrical engineering technology, electrical engineering, or a similar technical concentration
- 5 years working in a manufacturing environment with technical competencies in Controls and Automation or Data Acquisition
- 2 years of experience leading a team of individuals by reviewing their work, assisting in their career growth, and understanding technical work assigned to a team
- Demonstrated ability to care for team members
- Demonstrated ability to manage project scopes and timelines
- Demonstrated technical competency in controls or Manufacturing data acquisition
