As a copywriter, you'll be in the cockpit ensuring the communications we produce positively impact the future of our company and our relationship with our customers.
Your opportunity:
- Through effective copywriting, create brand assets, marketing deliverables, consumer content, and other advertising pieces for our family of brands.
- In partnership with your creative team of designers and other copywriters, develop, iterate on, and deliver creative solutions for marketing and sales projects including initial ideation.
- Write cohesive campaign components from top to bottom, including landing pages, social, email, and ads.
- Connect with our consumer audiences through evolving messaging to support authentic customer marketing experiences.
- With our product partners, ensure copy throughout product experiences remains consistent with our brand voices and communicates clearly.

- Expertise in adapting your writing style to a variety of voices and brands.
- Creative agility and can think both in terms of big ideas, but also the tactics that are consequential to delivering them.
- An openness to creative feedback and an enthusiasm for bringing your creative ideas to the table as well as a growth mindset focused on improving both.

- Role reports to: Marketing Creative Director.
- We use GoogleDocs, Figma, Webflow, and Asana (If you don't have experience in these specific systems, you can learn with us!)
- About the team: We are a small but growing team of four (soon to be six!) that is responsible for bringing marketing campaigns to life for our family of brands. We are integral to our company's growth and the very face of the brands we represent.
SmugMug is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $57,000 - $91,000. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as defined competency leveling and geographic location.
