Director of Warehousing

Overview:

We are seeking a Director of warehousing to join our growing organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our 5 warehouse facilities to ensure efficient operations.

Duties:

- Participates in the hiring and training of departmental managers and supervisors.

- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Maintain inventory control by organizing stock and conducting cycle counts
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse

- Improves internal and external customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes.

- Leads collaboration and integration of efforts among operations and all cross-functional business partners to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Hire and fire warehouse employees

Skills:

- Experience in warehouse operations and logistics
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Familiarity with lean principles and operations management
- Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively
- Proficiency in fleet management and overseeing inventory levels
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Capability to optimize warehouse processes to enhance efficiency

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
