Open position: FCIM Bio-medicine course teaching instructor (part-time)

The Florida College of Integrative Medicine (FCIM) is an education and clinical services program of the School of Medicine.

FCIM’s mission is to provide a comprehensive education in Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, concepts and practices that is designed to train the individual student to become a qualified and licensed healthcare professional who provides acupuncture diagnosis and treatment, herbal remedies, as well as adjunctive therapies and diagnostic techniques for the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health and the prevention of diseases.

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Western Medicine Instructor. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Anatomy and Physiology, Western Pharmacology, Western Pathology, and Radiology.

Requirement/Description:

• Master's degree or Doctoral degree of medicine (nursing, PA, DC or MD)
• Two years teaching experience preferred (not required)
• Successful completion of USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2 & USMLE Step 3 (for MD)
• Maintenance of continuing education: maintains an active license by meeting the requirements of medical boards of different professions.
• Effective written and verbal communications skills with peers and multidisciplinary team members
• Ability to work productively with people who have both similar and different backgrounds
• Ability to solve problems & make decisions through critical thinking process
• Organization skills and ability to accomplish work without direct daily supervision
• Implement ongoing student academic assessment

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
