Purchasing Coordinator

We are hiring a full-time, experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join us at our Sarasota corporate office as we continue to grow. We Offer Purchasing Coordinators: 

• $20-$25/HR to start, depending on qualifications

Purchasing Coordinator - Role and Responsibilities

• Act as a key liaison between different departments and branches regarding purchasing related activities
• Issue purchase orders to suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers 
• Handle goods throughout the purchasing process 
• Identify, research, and work to resolve any challenges that arise during the purchasing life cycle 
• Keep sales updated of any situations impacting customers’ orders
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors
• Hold suppliers accountable for performance in quality, cost, on time delivery, and support 
• Review/approve price discrepancies with vendors and sales, and make any necessary corrections
• Work closely with relevant departments to ensure products purchased are in line with the needs of the company
• Assist management as needed to place orders when necessary to replenish stock to maintain optimal inventory balances
• Develop and maintain a collaborative working environment with sales, warehouse, customer service, and management staff to ensure positive results-oriented outcomes

Requirements

Purchasing Coordinator - Qualifications and Requirements  

• Purchasing experience is strongly preferred
• 1 to 3 years of work history in an office setting
• Office work hours are Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4:30PM
• Opportunity for some remote work after probationary period evaluation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail (We're talking microscopic level!)
• Good verbal and written communication skills - English required, bilingual Spanish is a plus
• Positive and professional demeanor 
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently 
• Experience with SAP software is a plus
