Garage Door Technician

Award Winning Garage Door Company is seeking full time residential service technician for the Gainesville and surrounding areas. No experience required. We are willing to provide technical training for otherwise qualified applicants.

We are looking for driven, self motivated individuals looking to take charge of their own success. We can teach you the garage door trade, but we cannot teach you ambition and accountability. If you are tired of grinding away at a dead-end job or feel you will never achieve your personal or financial goals in a 9-5 office job; we might be the right opportunity for you.

As a garage door technician you will travel in a company provided work truck to customer's homes to diagnose their garage door problems, build and present a quote to repair or replace the garage door and/or opener, and either repair the garage door system during that visit or return later with proper materials. Technicians must be able to manage their trucks, inventory, and customer communications.

Average annual salary ranges from $50k - $80k with top technicians earning over $100k regularly.

Experience
 No Experience Required / Full On the Job Training Provided

Education
 High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities
 Repair various types of garage doors and openers
 Products, buildings and applications differ case by case; the candidate must be able to choose best solutions for each application as it pertains to safety, functionality and performance.
 The Repair Technician will also troubleshoot, repair and perform periodic maintenance on new and existing equipment

Requirements
 Mechanical aptitude – knowledge and skilled in using various hand and power tools
 Ability to work a flexible schedule. Evenings and some weekends required. We work when our customer's need us.
 Team player; strong collaboration skills; A attitude!
 Be a self-starter with the ability to operate without direct supervision at all times.
 Must have valid drivers' license with good driving record and be insurable
 Basic math and legible handwriting

Physical Demands
Requires frequently: Standing, lifting of 50 lbs., Carrying 50 lbs., walking, pushing, stooping, climbing, bending, crouching, crawling, reaching above and below shoulder level; full use of hands, good finger dexterity, lifting from floor to waist and twisting of torso. Also includes working in cramped garages, on ladders, and with power tools and perform manual labor in outside environment, exposed to heat, sun, high humidity, rain and other adverse weather conditions.
