ASC - NURSING EDUCATOR

In this role you will:

The Nursing Educator is a perioperative registered nurse who functions in an expanded role, working in collaboration with management, the surgeon, and health care team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Acts as a member of the Perioperative Team and is a subject matter expert with respect to perioperative patient care and associated safe surgical nursing practice.
• Develop and implement continuing education and orientation programs for members of FOISC
• Responsible for facilitating training of new nurses.
• Assess educational needs and implement programs to meet educational goals.
• Embraces Florida Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center’s code of conduct and displays a professional bearing during the performance of role responsibilities.
• Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures set forth by the Florida Orthopaedic Institute
• All other duties as assigned.

About You:

• Certified Nurse in the Operating Room (CNOR) with 3-5 years of OR experience.
• Master’s Degree in nursing required.
• Must be BLS/ACLS certified.
• Candidate shall demonstrate effective communication skills.

• OR teaching/educator experience preferred.
