Department of Athletics - Aquatics
Responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the comprehensive sport and recreational programming for the Athletics Department.
Employee serves as the Aquatic Supervisor for the Athletics Department. Administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to scheduling, budgeting, budget control, staff selection, and staff and program supervision.
Responsible for troubleshooting, evaluating faculty, staff, and guests skill level, performing corrective actions with respect to the condition of the facility, its equipment, the programming, and planning preventive maintenance.
The position implements and enforces departmental and university policies and procedures. Responsible for hiring, scheduling, and training personnel and working with the appropriate university departments and non-university related groups and individuals in policy formulation with respect to aquatics.
Required to frequently interact with the American Red Cross for certification of staff. Responsible for the provision of all safety measures and compliance with policies and procedures related to administration of an aquatic facility.
Responsible for interpreting and applying NCAA and ACC rules and regulations as well as maintaining Health Codes and OSHA regulations.
Responsible for collecting, depositing, and reporting all facility revenue. Other duties as assigned.
