SUMMARY:
Primarily responsible for providing warehouse supervision for the National Distribution for Florida Tile. Duties include dropping and monitoring shipments to the NDC, prioritizing loads, assigning pick workload, auditing shipments and closing out shipments after shipment. This person will must have demonstrated leadership ability and is a team player. Work will be performed in a fast paced and changing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Audit loads for accuracy and quality for NDC. Includes keeping records of audits and providing feedback to order processors when there is a pick error or packaging that has had damage.
- Handle special shipping requirements such as documentation and labeling, this includes pro numbers for LTL, special packaging instructions (thin tile), any special instructions per the customer’s needs.
- Inventory counts, owns an aisle or aisles for inventory accuracy and cycle counting. Sets a leadership example by keeping counts on time and accurate. Works with order processors and others to find time in their workload to perform their 5S work.
- Training new employees
- Instructing, directing, and assigning work to Sr. Order Processors. This includes continual balancing of associates throughout the day as needs dictate. Constantly monitors all warehouses workload and ability to meet that workload. Reassigns picking often throughout the day as the landscape changes.
- Provide feedback to management and Customer service on mis-shipment, inventory issues.
- Constant follow up on daily warehouse issues with management
- Other tasks as directed by Management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous Distribution experience preferred but not required
- Previous Leadership experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- SAP/WMS
- Demonstrated good job performance and attendance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
