Job Title: Staff Accountant
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our accounting team as a Staff Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, and journal entries in ensuring accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining financial records and ensuring they are accurate, complete, and up-to-date
- Preparing and entering journal entries into the accounting system
- Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and other reports
- Assisting in the reconciliation of benefits
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, and journal entries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (we use Great Plains)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy

Requirements
Health care industry experience is not a requirement but preferred, specifically medical group experience. At least 2 years in an accounting or finance role. Great Plains software preferred. Must be an Excel guru.
