Summary/Objective
Completes installation, repair and equipment troubleshooting in a safe and timely manner by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Installation, repair and replacement of a wide variety of industrial equipment, including heaters, mixers, pumps and piping systems.
- Fabricate and install PVC, PP and SS piping systems.
- Applies knowledge and ability to perform technical installations according to schedule.
- Wire electric motors and related equipment a plus.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoot problems with the appropriate equipment to determine most efficient course of action.
- Completes projects in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintains the Service area in a safe and orderly manner.
- Pre-inspects systems prior to shipment.
- Maintain safety at all times by using the safety equipment provided.
- Must have OSHA 10, will train for Confined Space. Medical Card required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Competencies
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Measure dimensions of equipment and installation areas, calculate required piping system clearances and hanger locations. Ability to calculate area, circumference, and volume of tanks a plus.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Strong Mechanical and Problem Solving Skills.
- Able to work with a team environment.
- Strong work ethic with ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with engineering, technical support, sales, management, and customers.
- Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
Work Environment
This job operates in a shop environment. This role routinely uses hand and power tools, table saw, band saw as well as office equipment such as laptop computers, and smartphones. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; kneel, crouch. Occasionally climb or balance, sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel: Travels regularly to customer locations to perform work. Recommends and explains additional work required to supervisor as appropriate.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required License and certifications
- Must have a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
- Good driving record.
- Preferred DOT certification.
