SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the assembly and testing of valves.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assemble Flow Safe valves per procedure.- Set up specialized test equipment to diagnose, test and validate the performance of high-pressure valve products and other pressure components.
- Conduct end-of-line functional testing on valve components and record results.
- Compare test results to specifications and set valve products to order requirements.
- Assist with testing equipment maintenance and/or repair. Perform maintenance on shop equipment.
- Maintain test results and records.
- Carry out valve or valve subcomponent testing in support of engineering team.
- Assist in building and testing valve prototypes to specifications.
- Perform “VR” repairs to Flow Safe valves in accordance with applicable procedures.
- Production-test final assemblies to ensure compliance with customer and Flow Safe requirements; documents all test results.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot valve failures
- Perform peer inspection of final assemblies before delivery to Quality or Shipping.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Work Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing / testing environment
Other Qualifications:
- Post-secondary course in pressure testing techniques and testing equipment an asset
- Ability to read, and interpret drawing specifications and blueprints required .
- Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval.
- Safety and quality training a plus
