Summary of Responsibilities
The Warehouse Associate position is primarily responsible for daily warehouse shipping and receiving operations including receiving, unpacking, packing, storing, and shipping of inventory.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Organizing and maintaining the warehouse for effective and efficient utilization of available warehouse space while also ensuring that all stock can be quickly and accurately retrieved to complete orders
- Performs routine shipping tasks, which include checking goods against shipping documents, validating quantities, part numbers, authorizations, and quality of product
- Packages product for shipment according to specifications, equipment characteristics, and transportation methods
- Prepares necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading, commercial invoice, and packing lists
- Responsible for inventory reconciliation, and accuracy
- Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move or reorganize product
- Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team-oriented relationships with both internal and external customers, co-workers, supervisors, managers
- Other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices
- Ability to read and add / subtract measurements in both standard (fractions) and metric systems
- High mechanical aptitude with willingness and ability to learn fabrication skills.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
- Excellent time management, organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Forklift certified or able to become forklift certified
Training / Experience :
HS Diploma or GED required. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
