Summary This position performs work requiring advanced knowledge which is predominantly intellectual in character and which routinely exercises discretion and judgment. The advanced knowledge is in a field of science or learning and gained through a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction, experience, and expertise acquired in the field. Scope This position serves as a material planning, purchasing, expediting, logistics or field purchasing team member who, with guidance from Purchasing Management, handles project material or non-project procurement support for an office, group of overhead departments or indirect procurement category. Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities • Manage critical material orders and/or supervise personnel at a mid management level with oversight from Material Management • Monitor and report supplier's performance toward completion of all deliverables in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the Purchase Order • Collaborate across all disciplines including Material Management, Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS)/Quality, Engineering, Project Data & Document Management (PDDM), and Construction • Act as liaison among Fluor, Supplier, and Client, as required • Generate documents, organize and manage files, and maintain tracking data and reports • Perform data entry proficiently in the Material Management Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to facilitate project requirements • Conduct bid clarification, pre-award, post award; suppler schedule/quality recovery meetings • Maintain the highest ethical standards of Material Management professional responsibility • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies • Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job • May need to travel to attend to business related matters • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality • Other duties as assigned• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and three (3) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to seven (7) years if non-degreed • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner• Prior Fluor experience with advanced skills utilizing proprietary system MaterialManager℠ • Prior Fluor experience in purchasing.• Good interpersonal and communication skills • Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs
