The Table Magician is responsible for all items plates and instruments arriving to and disappearing from the table. This position will work closely with the other members of the team to ensure proper service, maintain cleanliness, help maintain non-alcoholic beverage program and guest relations. This position requires physical labor, intensive work and some experience. The position will assist the General Manager, Chef, Sommelier and Host in all duties to ensure a, clean, healthy, safe, and efficient restaurant with top-quality food and top-notch service. Provides table service to restaurant patrons by taking orders for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that patrons have a pleasant dining experience.

The Essentials:
Customer Service Duties
· Providing excellent customer service
· Greeting patrons once they are seated
· Presenting menus to customers
· Explaining menu items to customers
· Answering questions from guests about food and beverages
· Finding out if customers need additional items
· Verifying that customers are satisfied with their orders
Sales Duties
· Helping take beverage orders
· Up-selling additional food and beverage products to patrons
· Entering each additional item ordered into restaurant register system
· Assisting with check delivery when needed
Operations Duties
· Communicating guest dietaries/allergies to kitchen team
· Ensuring that guests dietaries/allergies are marked properly on the kitchen map
· Delivering plated course to guests
· Removing empty plates, used silverware, and soiled napkins from tables
· Determining when customers have completed the meal
· Attending scheduled team or shift meetings
· Training new team members when necessary

Additional Functions
Preferred Competencies & Qualifications:
· Knowledge and background in wine, spirits, beer and specialty food products preferred
· Energetic personality and genuine desire to help guests explore our offerings
· 1-2 years’ experience in customer service and sales
· 1-2 years’ experience in wine/spirits industry preferred.
· Ability to work independently as well as on a team
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
