Job Description
Flying Machine Oyster Bar (formerly Flying Machine at Wrightsville Beach Taproom Kitchen), is located at 530 Causeway Drive on Harbor Island in Wrightsville Beach, NC. Flying Oyster Bar is a community-focused, local business always pushing for a unique customer experience through innovative beverages and a hyper-creative overall brand. We are searching for individuals with experience or interest in shellfish and seafood to help guide the customer experience at the Oyster Bar. We aim to present daily oyster selections and educate consumers about our local waterways in a fun, vibrant environment alongside delicious food, unique cocktails and Flying Machine Brewing Company beers. Flying Machine Brewing Company is a craft brewery with production and taproom located at 3130 Randall Parkway in Wilmington, NC
The Shucker will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of the oyster program to guests. Like a bartender, the Shucker will have face-to-face interactions with guests at our recently installed raw bar and will provide assistance to servers when table guests have questions regarding our oyster menu. This is a unique position to the area and we are excited to find the right person that shares our passion for local mariculture to fill this role.

Requirements:
-Experience in a public/customer facing-role
· Ability to problem-solve during emergency situations and provide solutions;
· Knowledge and implementation of sanitation and food-safety handling procedures;
-Knowledge or interest in service of shellfish; and
· Availability for nights, weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements:
· Constant standing/walking
· Occasional stooping, kneeling or crawling
· Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
· Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps
Compensation:
-Dependent on experience/qualifications;
-Possibility for additional compensation through customer tips;

Salary : $28,200 - $35,700
