PURPOSE
The Accounts Payables Specialist is responsible for preparing and processing invoices for payment and maintaining the accounts payables records providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organization.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
-
Weekly multi-company AP check disbursements
-
Set up new vendors in accounting database and ensures appropriate documentation is on file
-
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and standard procedures
-
Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credits
-
Daily processing and monitoring of electronic vendor invoices transmitted from numerous locations
-
Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
-
Maintaining historical records
-
Handles all vendor correspondence via phone & email
-
Perform other duties/ tasks/ projects as assigned
-
Assist or complete other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
-
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
-
21 years of age
-
Exceptional knowledge with Excel; Pivot table and V-lookups is a plus
-
Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
-
Detail orientated and execution-focused with the ability to take individual responsibility for delivering work in a timely manner
-
Ability to work with finite deadlines
-
Must have strong analytical skills with an ability to think strategically, attention to detail and having exquisite follow up/through skills
-
Minimum of three (3) years related experience
-
Experience working with multi units
-
Excellent communication skills
-
General math skills
-
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
